Introducing the SQD Surge Program
With our recent announcement, we reaffirmed our vision for SQD.ai – the first Emergent Database Network for the AI Agent Economy. We are now taking the next step, building on our multi-year mission to provide a scalable, permissionless, and cost-efficient solution for accessing and utilizing blockchain data at scale: Introducing the SQD Surge Program.
Over the coming weeks, the SQD Surge Program will propel our network from its initial bootstrapping phase, realizing our potential through a series of partnerships, updates, and improvements that drive sustainable growth and add value to the ecosystem.
The first stage of this program began last week as we delivered our thesis for how SQD.ai is specifically built to support the AI agent-driven economy, which includes AI agents that interact autonomously onchain. Read about it here.
Since that announcement two weeks ago, multiple major milestones have been achieved: We secured a multi-million dollar contribution led by Christian Angermayer's Apeiron investment group (read about it in CoinDesk), we revealed multiple additional partners and our founder Marcel Fohrmann hinted at the opening of an SQD office in the heart of AI agent R&D and business.
Now it’s time for what’s coming next.
SQD Surges Forth
The SQD Surge Program is the first step towards achieving our vision as The First Emergent Database Network and serving the “Billion Agent Economy.”
In the near and medium-term future, we will be rolling out a series of major updates and announcements focused on laying the business, technical, and economic groundwork to bring about the protocol’s long-term growth and success.
This work will be carried out in multiple phases. Phase 1 is already underway.
SQD Surge Phase 1–AI Agent Strategic Foundations
The purpose of Phase 1 of the SQD Surge Program is to establish SQD as the best strategically positioned protocol and brand to serve AI agents with data. The focus in this phase will be on exhibiting SQD’s strong foundations in terms of core partnerships, business relationships, and multi-year history, including 200+ high-impact Web3 integrations.
By the end of this phase, everyone will be able to feel confident that SQD can serve the billions of agents that are coming with the data they need.
Why Now?
SQD has never been better positioned for the kind of transformation that the Surge Program can provide:
- We have recently observed significant growth in SQD protocol usage. A larger meta-narrative is required to engage with, retain, and bring onchain as many of these new users as possible.
- We have always had exciting, clear, and highly achievable plans internally. However, feedback from the community has highlighted a need for greater transparency. The Surge program prioritizes rapid back-and-forth between the core team and $SQD users and holders.
- Demand for data from AI agents is growing each day. The Surge program is designed to better align the SQD community with the protocol’s broader, long-term vision for growth and sustainability.
Future Phases of the SQD Surge Program
As the saying goes, “You can’t rush perfection,” and the SQD Surge program is designed to pursue its goals over the course of multiple decisive phases of impact. Those may include but are not limited to:
- Community Growth and Incentives: Major push in community initiatives, ambassador programs, and incentives for holders and users.
- AI Agent Tech Accelerations: Backing up all strategic and business progress with substantial improvements to SQD products and technologies.
- Protocol Upgrades: Novel upgrades and improvements to the protocol and token design. (Tokenomics 2.0).
