Monthly Recap: November

GM fellow Data Ocean Navigators,

In November, crypto seems to have defeated crab season and entered the high tides of the bull market. While Bitcoin marked a new All-Time-High, and Ether gave up its stablecoin existence, our engineers worked hard to prepare our upcoming release of Portal.

In the meantime, we celebrated our very own All-Time-High, as queries over the past 30 days kept increasing every time we checked the charts. The most recent count showed 1.5 billion queries in the last 30 days.

Each query is a dApp searching for information. An increase suggests real demand for the network, which should eventually translate to revenue and be beneficial to SQD overall.

The Network in Numbers

  • Worker Nodes online: 1391
  • Data stored: 693TB
  • Queries in past 24 hours: 25,723,369
  • Data served in past 24 hours: 9 TB

But queries increasing wasn't the only thing happening at SQD in November.

Goodbye Discord

After careful deliberation, we decided that Discord wasn't a great place for our community anymore. It is too messy, too fragmented, and, first and foremost, not really a secure place for any crypto project to spend too much time on - considering the amount of compromises.

Instead, we've opened our public telegram chat again, allowing anyone to chat with us on the go. Activity has picked up in there, and you're pretty likely to interact with our Co-Founders when asking questions in there.

POV: our founders in the tg chat (Tenor)

It is too messy, too fragmented, and, first and foremost, not really a secure place for any crypto project to spend too much time on - considering the amount of compromises.

Now, the server is read-only, so you can still read through the GMS from the days of our Coinlist sale.

So if you want to talk to them or other SQD community members, join us on Telegram.

We're also exploring decentralized platforms for communities; stay tuned.

New integrations

While preparing for the release of Portal, our engineers also found time to integrate onchain data access for two new networks: CrossFi and Unichain (testnet), the new Uniswap DeFi chain.

If you're building on either chain, try the SQD SDK for onchain data.

Portal AMA

One day, when he wasn't busy calculating unit economics of SQD usage or answering queries on Telegram, our CEO Dmitry went live on X to discuss what the Portal release means and answer any questions.

"There’s no solution on the market that is decentralized, allows you to set rate limits on your own, and gives you this much power in handling the data.”  - Dmitry , SQD CEO

Except, of course, for SQD once the Portal is released.

During the AMA, he teased significant updates such as Hot Blocks, a service that provides real-time blockchain data, and the second iteration of the SQD tokenomics.

Portals AMA - All you need to know
On November 14th, SQD CEO Dmitry went live on X to answer questions from the community and talk a little more in-depth about the release of Portals, our next big roadmap item. Unfortunately, we had some audio issues in the process. Fortunately, our intern took notes, which enabled us to

Thanks for being part of the SQD community.
