October at SQD: A glimpse into the Future
GM fellow Data Ocean Navigator.
October might have provided a glimpse into the future, with AI agents’ portfolio’s outperforming those of their fellow humans in the trenches.
Sure, the agents might not be autonomous, nor have good taste - but the same can be said of the archetypal tech bro, so what does it matter.
Memes, AI, Bitcoin performance all had their part in propelling more people to be active onchain again - leading to fast state growth - MOAR data, in laymans terms.
And SQD directly benefits from that.
In October, queries served in the past 24 hours consistently surpassed the 1 million mark. Our devs also shipped a significant update, and we integrated further chains.
But before we get into these, first a few stats:
Network Stats
Workers Online: 1189
Storage Capacity: 604 TB
Data served in past 24 hrs: 5 TB
Queries in past 24 hrs: 761,361
Cloud Deployments 2.0
Hundreds of teams have already deployed indexers on our Cloud. And to further improve their development experience when managing indexers across deployments, and remote teams we’ve made some significant changes.
Cloud 2.0 is a small step for our dev team, but a large improvement for everyone using SQD Cloud. This update introduced tags, while replacing version numbers with slots. Both contribute to making it easier to distinguish and iterate on indexers.
New integrations
AltVMs are hot these days. SQD is at the forefront of supporting teams building them. If we miss your favorite AltVMs let us know!
In October SQD integrated:
- TRON
- Bitcoin Virtual Machine
- Sonic
- SOON Network
On top of that, SQD was supporting Fuel right from its mainnet launch and we’re happy to see it becoming the fastest-growing L2.
SQD Network Architecture
This month, we also published an explanation of SQD’s network architecture, addressing the commonly asked question: How can SQD be so fast?
If you’re ready to find out, head to the SQD blog
You’ll also get a glimpse at the future of SQD there. The keyword is Portals.
Content Highlights
A few highlights from October include:
- Our Case Study explaining how Polimec is using SQD in its backend
- Nodies Blog about why they're excited about SQD as a replacement for RPC to access onchain data.
- A recap of our X space discussing whether Bitcoin L2s future is bright or not.
Thanks for being part of the SQD community.
Stay tuned and liquid.
