Subsquid adds support for Prom
We're thrilled to announce that our decentralized data lake now includes support for Prom. This means anyone developing on Prom can now utilize Subsquid SDK to swiftly spin up indexers and obtain all the on-chain information necessary for their app's operation from one central location.
About Prom
Prom is a modular ZkEVM Layer 2 that enables interoperability across various chains, including both EVM and non-EVM networks. Prom builds a bridge between ecosystems by submitting proof of transaction to additional chains on top of the chosen settlement chain.
While other ecosystems lock in developers into one chain or virtual machine, Prom surpasses these limitations to offer a true multi-chain platform.
- Multichain: Prom facilitates interoperability across multiple chains. This approach enables seamless integration and interaction between diverse networks;
- Bridging EVM and Non-EVM Worlds: Prom is able to connect not just Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible chains but also those that are non-EVM compatible, such as Bitcoin or Solana;
- Fostering Adoption Through Interoperability: Prom’s interoperability offers a high degree of flexibility for projects to adopt, pivot, adn stay relevant in the ever-evolving world of blockchain.
- Spearheading L2 Solutions for Non-EVM Compatible Chains: Unlike other L2s that have largely focused on scaling Ethereum, Prom reduces fragmentation by also connecting with non-EVM chains such as Bitcoin and Solana.
Overall, Prom is similar to Subsquid in their focus on breaking down silos and enabling a user experience that spans chains.
Integration Goals
We’re looking forward to working alongside the Prom team to drive the adoption of Web3 by offering the best possible developer experience and a high degree of flexibility. With this integration, we’re further increasing our multichain capabilities while providing unopinionated access to raw on-chain data. Even though a lot of activity has historically focused on EVM, recently, there has been more happening on Solana and Bitcoin, and we’re excited to tap into these ecosystems in collaboration with Prom.
